3rd Jan 2009 - Happy New Year everyone

The Journey Home....Its weird being on the road again after being on the camp site for so long. We're expecting to see Eric and Gill (our UK neighbours on the Spainish Campsite) when we step out of the motorhome on the campsites on the way home (Maggie misses you guys). I was going to knock on your door to see if you wanted some more Mulled Wine but ended up in the bush....Its 0.7C Outside here in Clermont Ferrand....Brrrrr

Maggie...excited to be on the road again

A big Sat-dish in France will get you a top notch signal :-)

Mid France.... brrrrr frozen trees

In France....we come across some snow in an Aire...she loves snow

The weather in France soon improves...cold but very clear...very nice

Back over the Millau Bridge

"Everywhere I look, things remind me of her" - which movie? :-)

We enter France... dull and grey.. not so "Bonjour"

Maggie spots the camera on the floor

Someones starting to laugh a lot

Anyone seen the "ConeHeads" movie?

This is a knitted top a German neighbour on the campsite kindly knitted for Molly.

Local Town...

18th Dec 2008

Lots of relaxing in the shade today

Followed by a brief bounce in the chair, before going back in the shade

Another hard day in the office

Not a cloud in the sky all day, perfect December day :-)

22C better than the forecast...time for a cold one

Temp peaked at 24C - Maggie was getting a bit hot and found some shade to hide under

but not until she had finished sunbathing first

I wonder who these belong to?

DAY 7-12 (17th Dec 2008)

Time is flying by. This is our local forecast. Even though these temperatures are in the shade, when the suns out its pretty warm :-)

22C - YAY! Good old BBC weather , miles out as usual.

Not much to report here. Molly is growing!

Having a bad hair day?

Sun set from the bus window

Home from home!

Molly already for evening walkies. She seems to be getting bigger by the day, smiling lots and become very aware of her surroundings.

I think someone is a little tired

Another great dawn walk on the beach

The moon, closest for 15 years, 10% bigger & 30% brighter, the camera didnt cope well with taking a clear picture.

Hello "the Molster!"

DAY 6

The campsite!

Bath time....Mollys new Mobile Bath

Most people on the site have xmas lights up....we joined them

Someones happy :-)

Maggie....

Then Maggie collects some sand to drop around the campsite

Trying to unpack and settle in!

Molly relaxes to MTV

Smiley!

Yawns...just woken up

Walkies at sun rise

Maggie is first on the beach

Day 5
Our home.....

Maggie checks out the sea....everyone is happy

Molly checks out the beach

We have arrived....and the temperature is perfect

Into the south of Spain.....yey

dropped it down a gear, pedal to the metal...dont break down here ...eek

The book said this camp site was by the sea....true...but it lacked the details of the 20 foot flood bank. Our motorhome (left) ...sea (right) ....hadrians wall.... central... after one nights rest....we hit the road once more

Central Spain....the hunt goes on for a camp site to stay for the New Year...but another nights rain, heavy rain, big puddles

Day 4
Night 3....it rained heavily all night...next next morning people were leaving and heading south. We checked the forecast, it seemed the weather in the south is better, a lot better, we packed up and hit the road.....

We finally arrived at our campsite. The location is great....right by the sea side, big site, bar, shop, restaurant...we stayed here two nights.

Maggie likes the location of the motorhome

Day 2 + 3
We entered Northern Spain ....cloudy but warmer...mild!

Barcelona appearred on the road signs....yey! Spain approaches....
Time to stop for a cuppa.... Yorkshire tea of course :-)

After passing over the snow, and dropping down towards the Mediterranean, we noticed the trees still had leaves, winter hadnt reached here yet...it was getting warmer...until you wind the window down.... Brrrrrr

We climbed and climed...up up up...snow

.....the road kept going up....up...up

Can you spot the motorhome (top right)

Christmas on the Millau Bridge

Maggie posing for a photo!

The next morning on the Campsite in Clermont Ferrand...a very quiet camp site.

The next morning we got to see the campsite in the day light...I imagine it would be nice in summer when the pool is open...gets busy apparently. There was a heavy frost, but we were toasty in the motorhome.

Molly....not impressed with France?

Cool outside, crank up that radiator

A quick wander around a french Aire to stretch Mollys legs
